Amending a non resident state tax return

I have been trying to amend New Jersey non resident state tax. New Jersey uses the same form to amend as that of original filing for non residents. My tax withheld from W2 is not showing up in the amended return which was there in the original return. How to fix this issue

The tax withholding for the state return comes from the W-2 entry in the federal program, I suggest you review that entry and make sure the state abbreviation is listed in box 15. You may need to delete the W-2 entry and re-enter it.

I deleted the NJ entry from my Fed W2 and saved the return. The tool recognized the change and updated the numbers. I went back and added the entry for NJ in my Fed W2 and the numbers changed again but the issue was still there. For some reason the W2 state tax withheld amount for NJ is not flowing into the state tax return for NJ. If its a system bug/glitch is there any way to get it fixed?

Use a browser and clear browser data for all time before signing on to TurboTax.

Delete the NJ state

Then delete and re-add the W2

Add the New Jersey state and go through the state return.

This will give you a NJ return without the problem that is causing the error.

I didn't clear my browser history but I deleted the entire W2 and added it back and went all the way to state tax. The problem is still there. The state tax deducted is not getting carry forwarded for some reason.
