Allocating Capital Gain or Loss I moved from CA to TX mid-year. Being asked to fill out net gain/loss as if a CA nonresident. No idea where to get these numbers?

Are you a resident of CA  ( voter reg, driver's license etc, ) ?

Did you fill out the federal return, showing the capital gain/loss ?  Did you conduct the transaction while still  as CA resident or after you changed to TX ?  Do you have broker's statement or 1099-B
