Will receiving a 1099 k for the first time this year change what tax form I need to file with the IRS? We are a retired married couple filing jointly and have used IRS form 1040-SR in the past

Hi Pilgrim130,

You will still use the 1040 SR return for filing your return. The 1099 K usually indicates that you received Self-employed income and would require you to complete IRS form Schedule C and possibly Schedule SE in addition to your regular forms
