Was a 2 member llc - now a single member llc - file final 1065 and file Schedule C

Was a 2 person partnership in 2023 with 1065 tax return, my partner left at 12/31/2023. What do I file in  2024 as a single member LLC? Do I still file a final 065 tax return and file just a with same LLC Schedule C business income?

It depends. First you will report all of your income on your personal tax return as a single member limited liability company (LLC).

Next, if you did not mark your Form 1065 as 'Final' last year, you may want to file it with no income simply to take it off the register. This will keep the IRS from looking for a return and partnership that no longer exists.
