Received a 1099-MISC, for participating in a Nielsen survey. When asked if I performed a service for Nielsen. Should I answer yes or no?

It depends- if you do the surveys as a business, with the intent of making money, it is self-employment income so you would be performing a service for them.  You will report on a Schedule C.
