quicken input to Turbotax home and business, added 1099 misc in turbotax and now double income to correct

I use Quicken Home and Business.  All of my yearly income is entered in Quicken H&B.  The tax summary is then entered into Turbotax H&B.  In Turbotax H&B then ask for any 1099 misc forms.  The 1099 misc is the same income that was already entered by the Tax Summary.  So now in Turbotax H&B tyhe income is double reported.  How do I correct this?  The 1099 misc is reported to the IRS so it must be reported.  Turbotax H&B does not ask if this 1099 misc is already entered.

You can go back to your Schedule C and manually reduce the income that is double-reported.  You would need to go back to your Schedule C and correct this:

  1. Open or continue your return
  2. Locate the Schedule C section
  3. Go to Schedule C
  4. Under the business you need to review, go to Review
  5. Make changes to the income as needed

If you have duplicate forms 1099-MISC, then you can also delete the duplicate form directly.  See the TurboTax help articles below for more information:
