I paid a housekeeper last year to clean a short term rental I own. Do I need to send her a 1099-MISC as it was over $600?

Do I need to send a housekeeper a 1099-MISC for housekeeping on my short term rental property?

Yes, you will issue a 1099-NEC to your housekeeper as a best practice. You will also send a copy of it to the IRS. This way if an audit is done in the future, you have all the necessary paperwork to prove the deductions you took.
