I'm only being given an option to fill out a 1099-MISC but i have a 1099NEC

Before 1099-NECs existed a got a 1099-MISC for my line of work, this year turbotax is only giving me an option to fill out a 1099_MISC when what i have is a 1099NEC. I tried to add a new line of work but then it doesn't give me a 1099 option at all

You do not need to enter the specifics of your 1099-NEC as long as you report all of your self-employment income on your Schedule C.

You will need to delete the blank 1099-MISC as well.  Use the magnifying glass icon to search 1099-MISC and use the Jump to link.  Click the trash can icon to delete the unneeded 1099-MISC.

I don't see "jump too link", when I search either 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC it just gives me links to bunch of forum posts, which then tell me to put one of these terms into the search bar, so it's circular.

You can enter Form 1099-NEC in the Other Common Income section under Wages & Income. However, since it is considered self-employment income, I recommend you start a Schedule C to decrease your taxes with the ordinary and necessary business expenses.

To enter Form 1099-NEC as self-employment, under Wages & Income, scroll down to Self-Employment and select Show More and Start.
