I got a 1099 MISC for my investment. Box 2 was checked, the program wants me to link to sch C or Sch E. It's not either, what do I do?

This is from my financial intuition for my investment account

Box 2 is for a royalty payment.  Royalties are entered on a Schedule E.

Box 2 is for royalties, and that income does get linked to Schedule E.   Instructions are linked below.

Investment income from property you own – This includes natural resources extracted from your property by a third party who leases your property, as well as royalties from intellectual property that you didn't create yourself.   This gets reported on Schedule E.   How to enter a 1099-Misc for Royalty Income
