Does anyone else have an issue with TT 2023 after update when updating info in Schedule C. Never ending circle with 1099-MISC and 1099-K when I say no for both

Keeps going back and forth between 2 forms when I say no.

It's a bug in the most recent update (Sep. 12). I have reported it to TurboTax.

i say no to 1099-misc it goes to 1099-k where i say no to that and goes back to same 1099-misc question, 1099-k question.  Never ending circle you cannot exit from and move on to expenses.  Someone said a software bug?

TurboTax normally updates their software on Thursday.  So check for an update on 10/03/24 to see if this issue has been corrected.

I ended up having to upgrade to the Home and Business Version in order to get my taxes filed.  I spent a good 3 hours on phone with support back on September 12th when I first reported the issue, they had me uninstall and reinstall several times, removed all leftover files from install, etc., and could not get it working properly.  The fact that they cannot just rollback the update or get it fixed after 3 weeks is a major fail on TurboTaxes end.

Yes, anyone trying to finish their 2023 tax return with a schedule C by the October 15, 2024 due date has a serious compliance issue.  I have the 2023 Advantage Deluxe disc desk-top service (which BTW, TurboTax says it is shutting down after 2023). It was working just fine in April when I filed for an extension of time to file. Now, it not functional after recent updates, according to many others with the same data input issues - with less than 2 weeks to file timely an extended return. Totally unacceptable. Users may need to input Schedule C expenses directly to the return. Significant potential penalties issues. Needs to be elevated to senior management - urgently!

What is the solution?

The Work around DOES NOT WORK if you and your spuse both have schedule C.  It only works the first time around.

I only have a week left to file and this is very frustrating.  Is the error in a higher version ( I have Premier).

Started many years ago with CD download. Loved it. Then about seven years ago my desktop system crashed and TT switched me to download. The sitch was a notable diaster and I switched back to CD version the following year. Now they want to switch me to down load again? Naturally, I am very apprehensive!

@wmpyoungx  Do you mean they switched you to the ONLINE browser version?   Because the download is exactly the same as the CD.  Why do they want to switch you again?  Are you referring to them not selling the CD for 2024?

The confusion is that the Online version is NOT the Download program.    The Download program is EXACTLY the same Desktop program as the CD.  You buy it the same way directly from Turbo Tax or in stores like Costco.   When you installed the CD you still had to go online to update it.   It's only the method you use to install it.    Even when I bought the CD I used the download method to install it.

Even if you bought the CD before you could use the download method to install it.  I always bought the CD from Costco.  But last year for 2023 I bought the download from Costco online.  Installed it real fast. It was the same as the CD.  Most of the laptops and computers now don't have a CD drive.  And I had to get a new laptop with Windows 10 to run Turbo Tax starting for 2022.
