Consulting in another state

I am a PA based consultant that performed a small amount of work in VA. I did not receive a 1099 from the VA company. Do I need to file state taxes in VA?

If you received wages or income from performing services in Virginia as a non-resident of Virginia, then you may need to file a Virginia return.  It depends on the amount of income that you received from that work and your filing status.

If you are Single or Married Filing Separately and your Virginia income is $11,950 or above; or if you are Married Filing Jointly and your Virginia income is $23,900 or above then you are required to file a Virginia return.
