Coinbase says I have $24.09 in MISC income but didn't provide a 1099-MISC. How do I enter this?

I found where to enter a 1099-MISC in TurboTax (online), but I don't have a 1099 to enter and therefore don't know the format of the payer's federal ID number, etc.

Follow these steps to add as Other Income:

  1. Click Federal Taxes tab
  2. Click Wages & Income sub category.
  3. Scroll to the Less Common income- click on Show More.
  4. Scroll all the way down to the Miscellaneous Income, 1099-A, 1099-C  and click Start/Update.
  5. Click Start/Update next to Other income not already reported on a Form W-2 or Form 1099 and follow the online screen prompts to enter you income.

In general, a 1099-MISC is not required if payments were less than $600.
