Your email states that TurboTax will no longer support Monterey 12. That's my OS. I have MacBook air 11 inch Early 2015. What is the update for me? Ones stated N/A.

See this TurboTax website for supported Operating Systems when using the 2023 TurboTax software on a personal computer (desktop or laptop) - https://turbotax.intuit.com/personal-taxes/cd-download/tta-system-requirements/

2024 Turbo Tax Desktop System Requirements is Windows 10 or later or Mac OS Ventura 13 or later. And for 2024 you can only buy the Download, they won't be selling the CD.

If you switch to the Online version you can transfer your 2023 return done in the Desktop program to the Online version. Post back next year if you need help transferring.

If you used the Desktop program before you may notice several differences and not like the online version. It has less features and no Forms Mode. You can only do 1 return. Your return is only saved online so be sure to save both the .tax2023 data file and the pdf file to your computer when you are done. In case you need to amend in the future or if you need a copy to get a loan or something. You might not be able to access your online return when you need a copy.

I'm disgusted that I'm forced to by a new MAC PC because TT 2024 will not support Monterey. OK, shame on me for not checking and looking at the fine print, but Windows doesn't have this issue....its never been an issue seemingly over 20 years of using TT with MAC.  (new MacBooks are $1100 and up). I paid for the ability to do up to 5 federal taxes, and it seems if I try and use online, I read I can only do one filing.  Does anyone know if the iPad generations support TurboTax?; I have maybe a 5yr old one from family member Before I return TT product and see if a competitor will work?

Sorry--no you cannot use the desktop download on an iPad.   The download can only be used on a full PC or Mac that meet the system requirements.    If you do not have a computer that meets the system requirements, then your alternative is to use online TurboTax on your older computer.

I completely agree with fmarg63.  I recognize things change from year to year, but Intuit should be making software that is compatible for many users, not JUST THOSE that can afford the latest hardware.  How difficult is it to compile on at LEAST two additional previous O/S versions of MAC?  Not THAT difficult.
