Why was my wife's 1099 filed, but not mine? Bothe Raymond James. Secondly, where do you get the information in the first place?

Please clarify your question.

Unfortunately, we can't see your tax return to to evaluate your problem.   I'll have to ask you a couple of questions.

There are two questions:

1)  Why was my wife's 1099 filed, but not mine? Bothe Raymond James.

  • Did you post both of them in TurboTax?
  • Did you Import them?

2) Where do you get the information in the first place?

  • You should receive a form 1099-R for a retirement distribution, or
  • A 1099-B for stock transactions.
  • There are multiple 1099 forms.
  • You often can get them, or import them online.

Please contact us again with any additional questions or to provide some additional details.
