Why isnt my IRA contribution adding tomy tax refund?

should say adding to my refund. I am getting back $900, when I added in that I was getting a $7000 ira contribution, the refun stayed the same.

Your deduction may be limited if you (or your spouse, if you are married) are covered by a retirement plan at work and your income exceeds certain levels.
