Why don’t my W-2 forms match those on TurboTax?

The names and numbers of the boxes are completely different.

If you received a Form 1099-R for your retirement/pension income, that is NOT a W-2 and is not entered in the section for W-2's.

To enter, edit or delete a form 1099-R -

  • Click on Federal Taxes (Personal using Home and Business)
  • Click on Wages and Income (Personal Income using Home and Business)
  • Click on I'll choose what I work on (if shown)
  • Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
  • On IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), click the start or update button

Or enter 1099-r in the Search box located in the upper right of the program screen. Click on Jump to 1099-R

Or did you get a 1099Misc or some other form?  What doesn't match?  What is your box 1 called?  Here is a IRS W2 and the Turbo Tax W2 screen.  Does your W2 look like this one?

Did you get a W-2g for gambling income?
