Why did turbotax ask me if I took the entire RMD required, but Did not ask If my wife (who did not) took the entire required RMD?

Is it possible your wife was not over 70 and 1/2 years old and she is not subject to required minimum distributions? If TurboTax can see she is under the age required, it is possible that is why it is not asking her.

Did your wife receive any Forms 1099-R?  If not, TurboTax won't ask if your wife received all of her RMDs.  Using TurboTax to prepare Form 5329 Part IX for you wife under these circumstances is problematic.
