Why did they put my anuity payments in the earned income on my federal tax form?

 anui

The annuity  payments  are from federal  disability  it is CSA 1099R not earned income  .why did they not put the amount  in Annuity or pension?

If you're younger than the minimum retirement age, the taxable amount of your disability pension is reported as wages on your tax return, and it's considered earned income. 

 

Once you attain minimum retirement age, the taxable disability pension will be treated as a pension, and won't be considered earned income.
