Why can’t I uncheck the “I receive a disaster distribution box”? I didn’t receive one and that is the only thing keeping me from being able to file?

Please try to delete "Qualified 2020 Disaster Retirement" and any Form 8915:

 

  1. From the left menu (tap in the upper-left corner on mobile devices to open the menu), select "Tax Tools" followed by "Tools" and select "Delete a Form" in the pop-up
  2. Scroll down the list of forms and select "Delete" next to "Qualified 2020 Disaster Retirement" and any Form 8915
  3. Click "Delete Form" to confirm. You should get "Form Successfully Deleted". Select "Continue

I don’t have any of those forms showing up

So am I. Why is it automatically have a check mark. 

If this is not resolved in 2 weeks, I am going to download it as a pdf and edit the "x" out and file by mail.

FYI, this is a known issue and TurboTax is working for the solution! You did nothing wrong, some others are experiencing the same issue.

i was told they didn’t have a time frame as to when it would be fixed unfortunately

We understand your experience.  TurboTax Online/TurboTax Desktop customers may be experiencing an issue when going through the final review and seeing an error.  You may be unable to remove the check box from the Disaster Tax Relief section.

This is an issue that TurboTax customers are experiencing.

Hey they have updated the issue and you can now file . I had this issue all week and just filed about 20 mins ago and it didnt give me the error message aboutdistribution relief so try again let me know if it works.

i just filed mine try again I believe its been fixed it was giving the same issue this morning but just now when i filed it allowed  me to
