You should be receiving a Form 1099-R reports your pension information.

To enter your pension income in TurboTax online program, go to:

  • After sign into your account, select Pick up where you left off
  • At the right upper corner, in the search box, type in 1099R, and Enter
  • Select Jump to 1099R
  • On-screen Your 1099-R, answer Yes and select Continue

To repeat what Lina says above:

Do a Search (upper right) for 1099-r and click on the jump-to link (Mac users must find 1099-R in the Topics List). Note that you just enter 1099-r and hit Enter; don't click on any of the suggested search terms.

On-screen Your 1099-R, answer Yes and select Continue

I received a 1099 misc form for my pension plan. When I enter it, it appears as business income not other income. How do I correct this?

Thanks,

Steve

Please clarify-

Is this a 1099-R or 1099-MISC?

If it is a 1099-MISC, what is it reporting? Retirement is reported on 1099-R, did you get something else from them?
