Where in TT Self-employed can I look to find my Roth IRA contribution limit for 2018? I would like to make a 2018 contribution before April 15. 2018 taxes have been filed

You can use the steps below to go to the section of your return to enter an amount that you think you would like to contribute to your Roth IRA.  TurboTax will then do the calculations and let you know whether that contribution amount is within the limits for your tax situation.  There is not  a specific place you can go to see what your particular limits are based on your income.

Use these steps to enter your planned Roth IRA contribution:

    • On the top row of the TurboTax online screen, click on Search (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax locate the search box in the upper right corner)
    • This opens a box where you can type in “IRA contributions” (be sure to enter exactly as shown here) and click the magnifying glass (or for CD/downloaded TurboTax, click Find)
    • The search results will give you an option to “Jump to IRA contributions
    • Click on the blue “Jump to IRA contributions” link and enter your information
