Where do I enter the value of my IRA as I can no longer find that entry on my return.

I had that question and moved on before I entered the amount of my IRA. When I tried to go back and enter it I could no longer find that entry on my return. How do I go back and add the value?

You will find this question at the end of the retirement income interview:

  1. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “1099-R”
  2. Click on “Jump to 1099-R”
  3. Click "Continue" and enter the information from your 1099-R
  4. On the "Here's your 1099-R info" screen click "Continue"
  5. Answer "Yes" to "Any nondeductible Contributions to your IRA?" if you had any nondeductible contributions in prior years.
  6. Answer the questions about the basis from line 14 of your last filed Form 8606 and the value of all traditional, SEP, and SIMPLE IRAs

TurboTax will also ask for the value in the IRA contribution interview if your made an excess contribution:

  1. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “IRA contributions”
  2. Click on “Jump to IRA contributions"

Do I have to enter the value if no contributions were made in 2024? I'm still not seeing where I can enter the IRA value.

If you did not make any contributions then you do not have to enter a value in the IRA contribution interview.

Also, if you did not take any distribution from a Traditional IRA, where you made nondeductible contributions, then you will not get the value question at the end of the retirement income interview.
