Where do I enter Defense and Accounting Service 1099-R

Depending on the state you live in, some or all of this distribution may be tax-exempt. To enter it correctly into TurboTax:

1. In the Federal section of your return, select Start/Revisit next to Wages & Income > Retirement Plans & Social Security > IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R)
2. Import or manually type in your 1099-R.
3. Depending on your resident state, TurboTax may ask you follow-up questions and may determine that it is a qualified government retirement distribution and exempt from state tax. Pay close attention to these questions and if you need further guidance, please provide the screen you are looking at and your resident state.
