When? I do not want to check the box. "Form 2210: IRS to Figure Penalty Box You must check this box or wait for an update in early February before you file your return"

TurboTax must have received the update by now. Has anybody called to find out when it might be incorporated into TurboTax. It's Feb 21.

Originally, 2/21/21 was the projected availability date for the federal form 2210.  However, it then had to be extended to 2/25/21.

Today, 2/25/2021, is the scheduled "availability date" for the Form 2210 for print and e-filing purposes.

Previously, this was the situation:

If you have a penalty, you are required to submit the 2210 with your return if using the calculated amount of that penalty on your return.

If you wish to file your return now, you would have to let IRS figure the underpayment penalty for you since the form is not yet available to file with your return.

If you wish to wait until the 2210 is available in TurboTax, then you will have to wait until 2/25/2021

after you have updated your software in order to e-file the Form 2210 calculations with the return.

An update is available for TurboTax.  Update your computer version of TurboTax and then load your return and see if you are now able to complete it and file the Federal Form 2210.

I agree.  Today is 2/25 and still no Form 2210.

I'm happy to say that as of yesterday, on 2/25, I was able to file with a TurboTax-calculated penalty so I knew the exact amount at filing.
