What option do I chose if I closed an old retirement account that was not gaining anymore money because I left the job it was linked to?

Did you get a 1099R for it?  Was it a 401K?  What code is in box 7?  You had 60 days to roll it over to a IRA account.  Otherwise pick you did some else with it like cashed it out.
