What is the ROTH IRA contribution limits when filing jointly for two ROTH IRA accounts (me and wife)?

we have two accounts.  Does the limit apply per account ($5500 per account) or per household (divide the limit ($5500) by 2 to contribute to each account)?

The Roth IRA contribution limits apply to each account. For spouses, each may contribute $5,500 ($6,500 if 50 and over). Totals for a couple - $11,000 ($13,000 if 50 and over).

There are income limits and filing status that can reduce or eliminate your ability to make a Roth contribution. See IRS links below.
