What if my IRA Information worksheet is 0? It's asking about my spouses cumulative regular Roth IRA contribution but I'm divorced and filing not married.

I did not contribute to an IRA in 2024. It says my filing status is "not married filing joint" but I am not filing jointly. How do I change this? Why does it say this?

If you are using the same account that you used last year to file (and filed jointly in that year), the program may still have entries carried over related to your spouse.  I suggest deleting the IRA worksheet from the list of items in the forms list, following these steps:

  1. From the left rail menu in TurboTax Online, select Tax Tools (You may have to scroll down on the left rail menu.)
  2. On the drop-down select Tools
  3. On the Pop-Up menu titled “Tools Center,” select Delete a Form
  4. This will show all of the forms in your return
  5. Scroll down to the form you want to delete
  6. Select the Form
  7. Click on Delete.

If you continue to have issues, you may get better results by starting a new TurboTax account, particularly if your spouse had been listed first on prior year returns.
