What do I put for Capital gains when using a a 1099 from a military pension?

The 1099R for military pension should be entered in TurboTax exactly as the lines items appear on the 1099R given to you.  

In your case, there should be nothing on line 3 Capital Gain (included in box 2a) so you would leave it blank.
