What box on my 1040 tax return has earned income credit on it? Box 18a?

Yes, it is listed in Box 18a.

I note that you are asking your question in the Retirement section of this forum.   Please be aware that retirement income is normally unearned income, and thus does not qualify for the Earned Income Credit.
