We are retired military since 2020 and haven’t received a form since then. Is this normal?

Do you use the same form each year? Did you receive it in the mail or through mypay?

If you are receiving a military pension you should have received a Form 1099-R in January of 2022 for pension income received in 2021.

Go to the DFAS website for the Form 1099-R - https://www.dfas.mil/legislativeaffairs/taxstatements/

You would receive a 1099-R every year from whoever handles your retirement, assuming you had a distribution. You are not required to take one unless you have reached the age of 72.

Reach out to your plan administrator and find out what is going on.
