If you have no W2s to Enter leave those Entries Blank. See below information on where to Enter your 1099 R information:

  • Go to Federal Taxes ( Personal Tab when using Home and Business)
  • Click on Wages and Income
  • Click on Explore on My Own or I'll choose what I work on
  • Scroll down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
  • On 401(k), IRA, Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R), click on the start or update button

I hope this answers your question!

If I leave the W2 section blank it will not review or complete my return.

It will not allow me to status myself as having no W2's?

You should delete the W2 forms that carried forward from last year. Here is how:

  1. Log in and continue your return.
  2. Click on Income & Expense in the upper left corner.
  3. The first line will say Job (W-2), click Start or Review on the right.
  4. The next screen will show any partial W-2 information. Click on the little trash can on the right and delete each W2 entry.
  5. Click on Review on the left.

That should clear up your errors.
