W2 has 'Roth contributions to 401(k) plan'. The software states I have contributed more than the allotted amount for Roth IRA, but its not a Roth IRA. What should I do?

What is the code in box 12 of the W-2 for contributions?

Please do not enter the contribution to a work retirement plan in the IRA contribution section. A work retirement plan like the 401(k) is not an IRA. All you need to do is enter your W-2.

If you need to delete the IRA contribution entry:

  1. Click on "Search" on the top right and type “IRA contributions”
  2. Click on “Jump to IRA contributions"
  3. Select “None of the above"
  4. Confirm that you want to delete the IRA contribution entry.
