W-2 BOX 12a and 12b

W-2 shows two entries > 12a has one amount with Code D,  12b has a different amount with Code D.  When I enter everything into Turbo Tax it continues to tell me that there is an error.  Should I combine the amounts into one entry?  Turbo Tax doesn't specify 12 "a", "b" etc.

Yes, combine the box 12 code D amounts into one box 12 entry.  Those entries in box 12 are informational to you. The box 1 amount is the taxable amount and the box 12 code D amounts have already been excluded from box 1 on your W2.
