Unable to complete my tax filing - Early Distribution from 401K for Qualified Disaster

I had an early distribution from my 401k due to a qualified disaster in 2024 and I am unable to proceed in providing more information and the FEMA disaster number. I receive the below message.

Unfortunately, changes related to qualified disaster distributions and repayments weren't ready in time for us to include them in this release. Please revisit this area later.

When will this functionality be available? It is preventing me from completing my taxes for 2024.

Thanks

You can check using this tool here in order to find out when individual tax forms will be available.

Thanks. Looks like the form will be available on Feb. 20th. Let us hope there are no delays.

Shows that it should be available today (per yesterday, now it shows as available) but still getting the exact same message -

I am having the same issue.  What form exactly are we waiting on?

It is form 8915-F Qualified Disaster Retirement Plan... It was previously showing it would be available today. Today it shows it is there, but still getting the same message when trying to finalize.  :(

The Form 8915-F Qualified Disaster Retirement Plan Distributions and Retirements should be available now.

If you are using the TurboTax desktop editions you will need to update your software.

Click on Online at the top of the desktop program screen.  Click on Check for Updates

If you are using the TurboTax online editions, that software is automatically updated.

I get the same error. 1099-R: 2024 Disaster Distribution Checkbox - you can't file just yet. This may mean a better tax outcome for taxpayers like you have 2024 Qualified Disaster Distributions.

I am using the online edition - nothing to update and getting the same message.  Other ideas?

The online edition may not have been updated.  It may be the update will happen late today.  So check back tomorrow to see if the problem persists.

I am using the desktop app, do you know what is going on here?

I called the support line and they recommended that we wait until Friday afternoon which is Feb 21st. There were updates pushed earlier today but it does not have the released 8915-F form.

Any update on this? I would like to get my taxes filed, with all the IRS cuts it can be delayed any longer. Please advise. I have never had this issue with TurboTax, I am hoping to continue being a customer.

I hope someone from the Intuit development team reads this post. I called the support line yesterday and wasted one hour on the phone. Explained to the lady on the phone what was the issue. She asked me where I purchased the software. I told her at a retail store. I explained to her that this issue is related to the software since it is missing  the 8915-F form. While we are on the phone, I created a new return to see if it might be related because the form was available after the return was returned. It still did not help. I have been a TurboTax customer for a long time but for next tax year I will definitely look elsewhere. Similar to last year, I will have to file my taxes late in March. I come from a software engineering background and Intuit needs to look at current situation and make improvements. At this rate, they will not survive. Good riddance.

I just bought the desktop version and tried it that way and even after all the updates it still gives me the same answer.

Spoke with turbo tax yesterday or day before and they said Feb. 27th.

That is what they said on Feb 20th. Did they say why the 27th if the form became available on feb 20th?

Has this been resolved, or are we waiting until the 27th?

Something similar has happened before. The desktop version can't take care of 2021 disaster distribution that's spread over 3 years into 2024. But I predict soon, given the PDF version of the form is available on IRS.gov. We just have to be patient.
