You can use various for the dates acquired when your Form 1099-B has a blank box 1b
I have the same issue, the box for Date Aquired on my 1099-B is blank. There is an option to select "Blank" but it won't let me select it. I can't select "Various" because there are not various dates, it is simply blank. Why won't TurboTax let me click on "Blank?"
It is looking for a date so it can confirm if you had the investment for one year or less, or if you held it for more than one year. Short term gains (year or less) are taxed differently than long term gains (more than 1 year).
Just to clarify, is there a way to find out when you acquired the investment? Is it just one stock purchase, or many purchases of one stock? Or something else.
What do you have in Sales section at the top? Is it long term or short term?
