TT says RMD Amount required and 2024 Distrbution the same

I received an RMD distribution from an Inherited IRA. For safety I received a distribution more than the required RMD amount. I entered the required and distributed RMD amounts when entering my 1099-R income fields in TT.  However in 1099-R Forms, in the 1099-R RMD Excess Acumulation worksheet sections, TT has entered the same amount in both A-Required RMD and B-2024 Amount distributed. However, the amount distributed was greater than the required amount.  Is TT showing incorrect values? Also--does it even matter since this is just a worksheet. Thanks

Since you satisfied the RMD, it doesn't matter what you enter as long as it does not cause TurboTax to prepare Form 5329 Part IX to report a failure to complete the RMD.  Entering the gross amount as both the amount required and the amount distributed is fine for preparing your filed tax return (although it doesn't help with your recordkeeping of the amount required to be taken).  Form 5329 Part IX is the only place on your tax return that is potentially affected by these entries.
