The retirement account on my 1099-R will not show up on the turbo tax page

I changed jobs and cashed out my retirement account. The company does not show up on turbo tax

That's probably okay.

You should have a W-2 if you worked for the company during the year 2023, but the 1099-R form for your retirement will be issued by the plan administrator or a Brokerage firm.

If you want to be sure it has shown up, you can see your tax form:

You can preview your tax return by going to:

  1. On the menu bar on the left that shows.
  2. Select Tax Tools
  3. On the drop-down select Tools
  4. On the popup menu
  5. Select View Tax Summary
  6. On the left sidebar
  7. Select Preview my 1040.
  8. Pension income is on line 5a
  9. Taxable Pension is on 5b

Some key numbers on your 1040 tax return are:

Line 15 - Taxable Income

Line 24 - Total Tax.

Line 25 d - Withholdings.

Line 26 - Estimated tax payments

Line 33 - Payments including Credits.

Line 34 - Overpayments.

Line 37 - Tax owed.

Please contact us again with any questions, and provide some additional details.

You mean when you enter the 1099R?  Don't try to import it.  Enter it manually.  On the Let Us Enter Your 1099 page go down to the bottom and pick Enter a different way

Enter a 1099R under
Federal Taxes on left
Wages & Income
Then scroll way down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
Then IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R) – Click Start
