There are over a dozen kinds of 1099.  What is your 1099?  1099R , 1099G 1099NEC 1099-INT 1099-DIV. 1099B etc.

Well on a 1099R box 7 is 1 or 2 letters or numbers.  What does your 1099R have in box 7?  Is it 2 digits?  The most common code is a 7 the same as the box #.   If you have 2 digits enter them separately.  There should be 2 boxes on the screen.

Does your 1099R look like this IRS one?

Oh who is it from?  You may need to start the 1099R over and pick another kind of 1099R.

I thought you said you had an amount in box7?   Put a 3 in box 7.

Box 7 can have up to two characters (numbers and/or letters).  Enter the number 3 where TurboTax asks for the code.
