The 1099-R I am entering is a death disbursement from a deceased wife. She was a disabled police officer. Turbo Tax thinks I'm the disabled police officer?

I am a retired police officer.   I entered the information for the 1099-R for my pension.  I have a second 1099-R as a death pension for my previous wife, who was a disabled police officer.  The questions are asking me if I'm the disabled police officer, and at what age I could have retired if I was not disabled.  These do not apply to me.  How do I complete this entry?

If you are filing jointly with a deceased spouse, make sure you selected her name as the owner of the 1099-R.  Also, make sure the ode in box 7 is 4 and not 3.  You may need to get a corrected 1099-R.

Nope.  I’m filing jointly with current wife.

Is the ode 3 or 4?
