Software is not providing the maximum contribution for the Mass. retirement deduction ($2,000) on Massachusetts Form1. It provided this correctly in 2016, not for 2017.

I am specifically referencing line 11a on the Massachusetts Form 1.  I contributed to the Mass. Retirement System but the deduction is only referencing the amount listed on line 6 on my W-2.  Turbo Tax handled this issue correctly last year.  I think there is a glitch in the software.  PLEASE HELP!

That happened to me last year. It took a while to figure out because it is not obvious, but if you go back to your federal return, go to your W2, and next to where you entered Code Y there is a dropdown. Click that and select Massachusetts state retirement plan.  Gets me every time.
