So I got my 1st IRA today and dont have the needed 1099 form neccessary to file. Wondering what can I do to file my taxes?

If you made a contribution, you don't need a 1099, you'll get that when you take money out of the IRA. 

Type   ira contributions   into the search box and click the "Jump to IRA Contributions" link. 

(or click Federal, Deductions & Credits Scroll down to Retirement and Investments)

Enter the amount you contributed for 2018. You can include contributions made up until April 15th, if you told the bank it was for tax year 2018.
