Should I change my occupation to Retired since I retired on Jan 31, 2017? Should I wait to file since my Fidelity investments 1099-DIV not available till 3/3/18?

Yes, you can change your occupation to Retired.

You should wait to receive all tax documents before filing your tax return. Otherwise, you would need to amend your return if you receive a tax document which has to be included in your return in the first place. And the amendment process is very cumbersome.
