Refund

Hi, I incorrectly answered yes to two questions about living in a foreign country and my social security earnings were noted on my tax return but taxable amount was zero.  I did answer another question that me and my wife were residents in all of 2024. This produced a lower taxable income and a higher refund amount . My return was accepted as of 2-13-25 and is being processed. Will the IRS correct this mistake and just reduce my refund or will I need to file an amended tax return ?

We’ve been seeing posts that the IRS catches that.  So wait and see if the IRS reduces your refund or sends you a bill.
