Pension from another state

My pension comes from NY but the program keeps showing it from my state of residence (PA) once I go to the state form. I show nothing on the 1099 R that I can enter to show it's from NY (no codes in boxes 12-14). How can I clarify this for the program?

Since you received it while a resident of PA, it is claimed on your PA state return. NY does not come into play. (It is no different than, say, if you received interest from an out of state bank.)

Well, the state pension distribution agency for Arizona State Retirement withheld AZ state income tax instead of NM income tax even though they acknowledge that a change of address with filed in 2016 when we moved from AZ to NM>

Only they can tell you why they did that  You may have to submit a new withholding form to therm.
