There may be a rounding error.

Please adjust the amounts entered on the 1099-Q screen.

Box 2 and Box 3 must add up to Box 1

If one rounded up or down differently than the other, it might show as a dollar off.

Adjust the whole dollar amounts if necessary so they add up.

I am experiencing the same error. I am entering the exact amounts on my form and Box 2 and 3 DO add up to the amount in box 1

TurboTax will round up or down.

You might need to make box 2 one dollar more or one dollar less.

If the amount in Box 1 ends in .50 or more, round Box 2 UP

If the amount in Box 1 ends in .49 or less, round Box 2 down

Enter as whole dollars

That is moronic, and if the software can't handle summing two-number decimals, then it should have been explained on the page. I appreciate you nonetheless.
