On my W-2, Box 17 says: $1144.00 so where do I include that in Turbo Tax?

Box 17 is the State Income Tax box.

You enter every box from your W-2 into the federal software.   The information flows to the state return.

In the federal program go to Federal>Wages & Income and make sure you entered ALL of the boxes from your W-2.  There are 20 boxes.  Some people do not have anything in boxes 18, 19 or 20.   If you are in a state with an income tax, you will have information in boxes 15, 16 and 17 for the state.

It goes in Box 17, that is the amount of state income tax that was withheld from your paychecks.

Box 15 is the state info and ID

Box 16 is the wage base

Box 17 is the state income tax withheld.    This is the amount TurboTax will enter as tax paid to whatever state it applies to.

Where to enter your W-2   Example below.

The state income taxes withheld in box 17 of the W-2 are entered on your state tax return by the TurboTax program.
