no address for my social security 1099

If TurboTax is asking you to enter an address for a Form SSA-1099, you are entering your SSA-1099 in the wrong place. Enter it under "Retirement Plans and Social Security" > "Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099)."

 

When you enter your SSA-1099, you do not need to add an address. 

 

Be sure you are entering this as a SSA-1099 instead of a W-2 or other 1099.  

 

To enter your SSA-1099 select :

1. Income
2. Retirement Plans and Social Security
3. Start next to Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099)

Please note navigation may slightly differ for some users. 

 

I am using the proper form for social security 1099 but it still asks for address.

Are you sure you are not in the 1099-SA section instead of the SSA-1099?

 

Select the following to enter the SSA-1099

 

1. Federal
2. Income
3. Social Security (SSA-1099, RRB-1099) under Retirement Plans and Social Security

 

There is not a spot for an address for the SSA-1099
