My W2 accurately reports employer contribution to an HSA in box 12 and zero in box 1. TT says I can't file electronically. Is there a way around this?

You can omit the W-2 from your tax return and instead, when TurboTax asks if your employer told you about any other HSA contributions answer Yes, then enter the code-W amount in the box for Employer and payroll contributions not reported in Box 12 of your W-2.  The result on your filed tax return will be identical to entering the W-2 without actually entering the W-2.

If this is a W2 with only the Box 12 and you received another W2 from the same company, you can add the Box 12 HSA on the other W2 so that you will be able to efile.

For 2020, if you have self-only HDHP coverage, you can contribute up to $3,550. If you have family HDHP cover- age, you can contribute up to $7,100

Thanks for the reply.  This is a W2 with only Box 12, however it is the only W2 I have from this company.

Thank you.  This worked.

As recommended, I omitted the W2 and recorded the amount when asked for other HSA contributions.  I was then able to E-file.  Thanks for the suggestion.
