My social security which is taxable was not entered on my completed taxes why and how does that get corrected since the return has been accepted by the IRS

How could Intuit not require that information before submitting my return?

TurboTax is a self-prepared tax preparation program.  The program has no knowledge of your income, sources, investments, etc.  It's the responsibility of the preparer to include all of the tax documents, etc.

You will need to amend your 2017 return in order to include income that you failed to include.  First, wait until your original return has completely processed and a refund, if any, has been received.  Then you can prepare your 1040-X, print and mail it in.  An amended return cannot be e-filed.  See instructions below for amending your 2017 return using TurboTax.
