My apologies if I sent twice... I have both a 1099 from CALSTRS and a W2 from the school district because I retired in May. How shall I proceed?

You have to enter both the W2 and 1099R I to your tax return.   Enter the W2 as normal.

 

Enter a 1099R under
Federal Taxes
Wages & Income
Then scroll way down to Retirement Plans and Social Security
Then IRA, 401(k), Pension Plan Withdrawals (1099-R) – Click Start

 

For state boxes, for box 16 State Distribution put the same amount that’s in box 1.  If box 14 is blank you can leave boxes 14,15 & 16 blank.
